I'm looking at either going to buy the books and look at doing the exercise through you tube or signing up for the whole plan at the end of the month and I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it?
I never really stick to anything and know I need to eat better and start to exercise and this seems a good way to do it?

The 90 day sss plan is hard. It involves a huge amount of food preparation and I found that to get decent results you did have to cut out alcohol entirely.

The exercise is good as are the meals (most of them) but it involves weighing everything and my shopping would cost about ÂŁ120 per week for the ingredients (for 2 of us). If you have kids, I'd imagine you'll be cooking additional meals too.

The book is NOT the plan. I've read that the meals in the book are quite calorific so be careful with eating 3 meals a day from it.

His HIIT (high intensity interval training) sessions are good because they're quick.

Would I recommend the plan? Probably not although I do still eat some of the same meals.

Ah I don't drink but I was under the impression the meals took 15 min so maybe I'll give it a miss.
Thank you though

The Lean in 15 do. The food prep on the plan does not as you're generally preparing food for 3 meals at the same time.

Oh I get it now.
Maybe so the lean in 15 and HITT training on my own then

I've had a go at a couple of the workouts from YouTube and they're exhausting - but they do say no pain, no gain! I did one of his recipes last week and it was pretty calorific (chicken pie). I'm going to keep on with the exercises, I think, and just eat three sensible meals a day (and try to avoid too many chocolate temptations!) I've cut down on drinking but wouldn't want to cut it out completely. I'm also avoiding carbs with my evening meal. I'm hoping that lot will do the trick. I'd like to lose about a stone.

I would be wary of eating too many recipes from the book. Keep an eye on calories as with a 20 minute HIIT you'll probably burn about 300.

Me and dh have just started the sss plan, we have both books.
The recipes do seem very alien to a 'normal' diet plan, lots of fat, mostly healthy fats though. We've been eating his meals and the main thing I've noticed is that neither of us gets hungry between meals, fat keeps you fuller for longer, which would explain why on low fat diets I'm permanently hungry (well mostly).

I hate exercise, but have managed to do 3 HIIT sessions, 2 off which were low impact as I have bad knees (because of excess weight) and a bad foot, but even the low impact ones have me dripping sweat.

I've decided to stick with it for 4 weeks to begin with to give it a chance, I am a bit sceptical just because I've naturally avoided fats and I'm a habitual sad stepper (weigher).

Sorry that turned into a bit of an essay.

That's a great essay and very helpful thank you

I have given in and purchased the 90daySSS thing. It should arrive this week. I have gradually put on over half a stone in a short space of time and I know this needs to go - I am not very big - usually around 8.10 mark and the extra weight does not look or feel good on me. I like what he does and I love the recipes. I have the recipe books already but they make no sense without the entire plan as they are quite high fat± It is cheaper than a lot of the 6 week boot camp type things i have seen locally so I am willing to give it a go and invest time. energy and dedication to it...wish me luck!

Good luck stirred. The plan isn't like the books though. It's very hard work but you will get results. The aim is not necessarily weight loss, more inch loss!

My DH has been doing this for 3 weeks and the results have been been very good so far.
Is shape has changed a lot - much better tone and he's list around 9lb.

We both really enjoy the food and excluding the supplements it's costing around ÂŁ60 PW which is wayyyy cheaper than anything else I've done. In fairness we're selecting cheaper meals - more fish stew, less steak, but all the same.

It's been that good actually that once I'm not preggo anymore (some pint in the next 3.5w), I'm going to do the plan too.

Wow! thank you - that is very encouraging - i have read his books preamble and seen his TV show. I follow him on Twitter so kind of have a fair idea of what his ethos is...looking forward to the challenge and to feeling better about myself! Thank you

Loved the first 4 weeks, struggled with the huge amount of food and prep in the second month (lots of carbs) but liked the weights. By the third month I was bored of being strict ( I had been incredibly strict and didn't cheat or drink booze at all. I did 15 weeks alcohol free!). I lost about a stone and a half and still cook some of the meals now. It's just a hard plan. As we were both at work full time we had to prep food for the entire day at the same time which was time consuming especially because you're weighing everything.

Overall, it's a good plan but hard. Read up about coconut oil as you'll use it A LOT and there are some differing views on how good it is for you.

I'm not going to lie, the first 4 weeks are easy. There are recipes to follow. The food consumption rockets in cycle 2.

I have just had an email offering the 90daySSS thing for ÂŁ127. Debating whether to do it....

I know everyone eats the same and that macros are adjusted to fit. Could someone give me a list of the food you eat in cycle 1. May be 4/5 days worth? Thanks.

I have purchased this and I think it is the biggest waste of money ever! I could just as easily done this without buying the plan and using the online HIIT exercises and recipes from eh book! It implies that you are given a personalised plan but you are not really. You are sent a few recipes that are chosen from the foods you like best on your form but I would choose to cook those anyway! The breakfasts options are mental. Unless I am just missing the point here I would say don't bother buying it!

I think the book recipes are sized for a man so if you are female you will have to shrink them a bit.
