Started losing weight (wahey!) but my skin has become most awful

Just doing simple calorie counting, mostly cutting out carbs, but no pills/shakes etc. Have 5st to lose (almot one down already) and trying to stick to 1200kcal. Don't have any hunger issues, but my skin especially on chest and shoulders has become awfully spotty. I remember it being similar when I lost quite a bit of weight after my first pregnancy.

Could this be weight loss related, and what can I do to clear my skin up?

It's funny that you say that because I had a spotty chest all last year and assumed it was age. I was losing weight. I've been half a stone heavier since Christmas - no spots. Now on 5:2 again and a spot appeared.

When fat breaks down, it release estrogen which is stored in fat. Estrogen can cause bad skin! It's particularly bad if losing weight quickly.

Drink lots of water as it flushes it through your system quicker.

Just wanted to commiserate OP, I am in the same boat - I have been hoping for flawless skin because my wedding is coming up (hence the weight blitz) and I don't want the stress of wandering whether my makeup's staying on properly! It's just a load of pimples cropping up on my cheeks and above my eyebrows, not the worst I've seen but a constant stream of them. It's so annoying!
