Celebrity Slim meal replacements?

I want to kick-start my diet ( the weight is creeping back on).

Last time, I did the Cambridge Diet for four weeks to get me started. It was really good at getting me used to eating less and got me out of the snacking habit (I've eaten 5 snickers bars today Shock Blush I only realised when counting the wrappers - I do it subconsciously)

I'm really out off my hair grow to go to a consultant, though and want to buy online. I was looking at Celebrity slim. Has anyone tried it?

I used slim and save - similar to CWP but without the consultant etc!

It made me feel a bit sick, horrible aftertaste. I'm on Forever Lite Ultra, which is good but expensive, I'm going to try slim fast next as they are 3 for 2 at the moment in boots

Another vote for slim and save. I lost 2 stone in 9 weeks, put it all back on though!

Hang on.... you did the Cambridge Diet, then came off it and now you are binging on chocolate etc.... and now you want to do another one?

Can you not see this is EXACTLY Why you are binging? Severe calorie deficit is like going scuba diving with no oxygen, holding and holding your breath and then when you finally resurface you GASP for a massive breath of air and intake MORE than you would have done had you just taken the oxygen tank and breathed normally.

EVERYONE rebounds from severe, unhealthy calorie deficits. It is a natural adaptation and a natural consequence of being in starvation. It is also very damaging to the metabolism, making further attempts at dieting near on impossible because your body does not want to go there again!

No it's not... Although I can see why it reads like that.

I am an emotional eater and always have been. I put on weight because I over eat. I am very physically active. When I get stressed I over eat.

The weight hasn't come back on gradually. The weight did stay off, but I started having work troubles, I started bingeing and the weight piled on.

I did the Cambridge diet 18 months ago for about a month. It helped break the habit and the link between comfort=food. Knowing that for breakfast, I would have x and for lunch I would have x meant I didn't need to think about food. Then I was able to switch to mfp. Because of my size, I am on the rock bottom 1200 calories to diet (according to mfp, which I know does tend to put people on that, but it's also backed up by the other calorie counters online). 3 shakes + a decent meal worked out about that.

I want to do the same again, but I don't want to have to meet someone to get the shakes.

As I said, it's just a month to break the cycle. If I could give up sugar, it would probably help, but then I still need to work out meals and I don't have the energy at the moment.

So, I want 1 month eating shakes + a meal. To get back into the habit of feeling hungry (I know it sounds silly, but I'm starving, yet not hungry at the moment due to the bad foods I'm eating). I need to know I don't have to think about food. A sort of reprogramming.

To reiterate the weight stayed off for most of the year - even when back eating normally. I can pinpoint when and why I started bingeing again and when the weight started going on again. It's not to do with the shakes.

I appreciate your concern though.

Ok I hear this all the time in my job. Please listen to me, the shakes are NOT breaking any habits, they are enforcing them, they are just restraining them during the time you are "on it". Like you say, you are still binging (because it didn't work long term). This is not your fault. If you work on your mindset first, the emotional binging will stop. Life is never going to be easy, things that trigger binging will always crop up whether you are on shakes or not, so dealing with that is essential. 95% of dieters neglect the mind.
