Completely losing the plot - please can someone slap me!!

Usually I have a cheat night, and it works for me. It keeps temptation at bay and gives me something to look forward to.

I have consistently lost weight this way. 18lbs so far, another 24lbs to go.

However this week I have completely lost the plot.... I haven't managed one day within calories (I have about 1600 as I am BF'ing) and I have been back on the sugar hard. I have literally given up.

I am aiming for the "slow and steady" loss. I figure another 14lbs by Christmas would be doable (19 weeks) and then I'll do my last stone next year. I think this mentality has allowed me to get into the whole I'll have a week off vibe.

Tomorrow is my usual weigh-in day and cheat night. I am currently at the Kettle Chips...

I feel so guilty and so bad that I have given in this easily.

Someone please kick my arse back into gear!

I dunni, I think if you're feeling like this you're better off just giving in, not beating yourself up and resolving to get back in it tomorrow. Just have your cheat day / night early. It may mean no loss tomorrow but weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint.

I know the feeling well! Maybe if your scales are not showing a loss and maybe a gain it might be the motivation you need? Sometimes you just need a week off to get away from thinking about dieting constantly!

Cheers!!!

Kettle chips are in the bin and I've got a carb free dinner later.

I'm going to weigh-in tomorrow as I need to see the damage. Cheat night is only a reward for a loss.

Feeling a bit better now, I just sometimes find being too strict counter productive! My issue though is refined sugar. It brings out the demon in me.

I had a little ice cream on Tuesday night and come Wednesday I'm baking biscuits and buying chocolate I'm not one to eat just one biscuit or two squares of chocolate

Getting away from refined sugar has been the best thing for me in terms of following a healthy plan and not being affected by cravings.

Back to sugar detox it is!!!
