Hi There
There was a thread here a couple of days ago about this diet (well way of eating actually) and its inspired me to take it up again.

I did this for about 3 months before xmas and never felt better but sadly have not kept it up over xmas. Going to start again today need to lose the last stone!

The basic principles are that you don't eat anything processed, stay away from refined carbs and only eat what would have been available to us in the wild so meat, fish, eggs, fruit and veg. I can't eat diary anyway as I have an allergy but most people who do this diet do include diary ocassionally.

The basic principles are here [[http://eatdrinkpaleo.com.au/paleo-diet-food-list/ paleo]

Anyone else in? Smile

Hi

I've been doing this way of eating since 7 Jan and it's working well. Feel full of energy, skin has improved, aches and pains have gone. And best of all have lost 11 lbs!! Want to lose a few more pounds and tone up - so have started kettlebells. Last session almost killed me! I've found the following website really helpful: //www.marksdailyapple.com.
Good luck!

A friend recommended this at the weekend and since someone asked me if I was expecting child number 4 today I am happy to try this.

My only concern and I can't find the answer is can I never eat rice/bulgur again? And what is the 85/15 split. On those days could I eat rice?

Confused slightly.

Well the good news is I am 3lb down Grin

I am still learning about this too. Some people say never have potatoes but I personally can't live without them I have added them in to my diet and as some paleo dieticans say this is ok then i figure its not going to ruin it!!

I don't really know about bulgar wheat Confused i think you are allowed grains occasionally but only in maybe 2 meals a week. I plan on doing this hardcore in the week and then relaxing at weekends as this is realistic for me

typical day so far this week has been

eggs for breakfast (usually 2 boiled or maybe an omelette)
homemdae soup, tomato or chicken and veg.
salmon/lean meat and lots of greens
