Please can someone give me some advise? I am going in for an operation to be sterilised on 22nd December and they will only do the operation if i lose some weight. Ideally i could do with losing 3 stone but they said at least 12lbs to a stone before my operation.

Everything is going ok and i feel confident in meal planning and seem to be full etc through the day but on a night im really struggling! DP works until 11pm so im on my own sat watching tv with images of the fridge in my head haha! Confused

I have 3 small children so i am shattered come bedtime so i tend to do all excersizes through the day and evening is my time to chill. Has anyone got any tips on how to keep those 'must have a biscuit' voices at bay Grin

Have you tried nibbling on something else/low calorie like carrot sticks? I find this keeps my hands and mouth busy enough to distract me from eating unhealthy stuff.

Or how about planning a non food related treat like having a nice hot bath with sented oils in after the dc in bed and while waiting for dh?

Banana or an apple - just enough sweetness without the mega calories. Or a herbal/ fruit tea. Good luck!

I wish i had time to 'chill' in the evening.
I have something to do the whole time and wonder with envy how other peopel manage to have evenings doing nothing, I genuinely do.

Grapes are good for munching on but I find the best thing is just to go cold turkey for a couple of nights and eat nothing after dinner. After that, it gets easier.

Well ive done well so far, im a nail technician so ive just treated myself to some new minx nails and extentions, kept me busy. Think you maybe right about keeping busy or eating something like carrots. Will keep trying lol, thanks for suggestions :)

Slimmimg world, I love food and I love to eat, hate the thought of restricting myself, you are never hungry on slimming world, you could easily lose 12lbs by your op date Grin

Don't buy anything in that is full of empty calories and has zero nutritional value(ie biscuits, crisps, cake, sweets etc..),why waste your money on them?

If they aren't in the house, there is nothing to be tempted by Smile

You can do it x

Brush your teeth - works a treat for me. Other than that change your routine - do a different activity (reading keeps hands more occupied than TV/Computer as you have to hold the book!) Sit in a different room.
