I'm the 8th and leaving it for now, our venue has no weekend dates for next year anyway so if we move it we will have to go from scratch again! I do expect it to be smaller than we planned though

We have to pay the rest of our balance to the venue in mid June so we will make a decision then. I think we will probably cancel as there will still be restrictions in place and rebook a much smaller/elopement type wedding as I dont think our venue will have Saturday availability for a long time after this!

We were 1st August but have moved everything to next year. Couldn't take the risk with our guests as a lot of elderly and underlying health conditions.

Thankfully everyone was really helpful and kind.

We have postponed until next year. Our venue suggested it. There will almost certainly still be social distancing in place to some degree.

Also it's not just about us losing money etc; we have guests coming from all over the country who needed to know whether or not to book travel, accommodation, childcare etc. It felt wrong to keep them hanging on.

My wedding is booked for the 8th and feel like we are stuck in limbo too. I don't want to wait another year ☹ but everyone is telling me it won't happen. I'm still trying to remain positive 🌞

We are planning to cancel the big party, but will go ahead with a small wedding if we can as it feels important to us to just be married! We have close family members shielding and I just don't see how they could come if we went ahead with the full thing. Currently coming up with options for how to do it e.g. getting people to watch over zoom, and then having a second ceremony and party next year!

Is everyone who's cancelling cancelling the whole thing, or just the reception?

@Alez
I honestly don't know what to do, sounds like a fab idea what you're doing though.. I think if we cancel we will cancel and go abroad next year or something and do something smaller without all the added stress x

@RLG92
Thanks, your small wedding abroad plan sounds really nice. My biggest fear right now is we reschedule to next year and then still can't do it...Doing something small's probably the best idea to avoid that!
