Changing the wedding date

So I've already booked and paid a good chunk from my venue, paid the make up artist, put a deposit on photographer, put a deposit on entertainment.
But it's now looking like we cannot afford this (due to get married in august) we have the option of changing it to any date in 2019 but I wanted April 2020 (for some reason the hotel won't let me book that far in advance) is it worth the hassle trying to change for the sake of 8 weeks? I could cry with how much we need to pay before June! Not to mention 3 kids and Christmas, then we've got 4 birthdays before the wedding. I have a cc with a limit of 500 so there is that option if things get too much. But just don't know how realistic it's going to be trying to afford it? 😬 not to mention my dress needs a few alterations, kilts, rings and flowers still need buying. I can barely think straight atm so any input would be brilliant!

Is there anything you can scale down or cancel? It might be worth losing a couple of deposits if the whole thing was too expensive?

Well even though it's only 8 weeks but the venue in late autumn or winter wedding would be cheaper anyway?

If you are a tight budget I'm curious as to why you are forking out for a make up artist and entertainment already. There are cheap substitutes for both.

Are you a member of Rock n Roll brides Facebook group? Another MNetter recommended it and it's insanely good. Very supportive Lots of other women doing weddings their way. Might give you some ideas as they have more interesting weddings than most other sources.

No the venue is just a set price, not any cheaper because we are doing it in a certain month. Make up artist is a good friend of mine and have got a discount on it. Entertainment in aware isn't necessary but is something I'd like
