I can't ever remember a b and g leaving gimmick. That may be because I was too drunk by that point.

Jump in a taxi and scatter (throw) loose coins as you do..... tradition in Scotland anyway.

Every wedding I've been to people just leave at the end of the night, no gimmicks. The bride and groom are usually the last to leave.

Ah right - sounds nice- was it on Gavin and Stacey where they ran through a tunnel made by guests arms ( which sounds safer than sparklers)

I honestly can't remember how we left ours ( and I was sober as pregnant ) - isn't that terrible-it's only been 16 years!!!

Everyone leaves when they are ready to drunk to carry on! Sorry but that's every wedding I have been too! No way would I trust a bunch of drunk people with sparklers near me don't plan to much op you will end up disappointed let things end naturally!

Don't do the sparklers, they can leave tiny holes in your dress! (Bridesmaid dress was ruined!)
Just leave during the last dance (which should be loch Lomond or auld Lang sine so everyone will be jumping around so won't notice)

We just ran away, leaving DDs (18m and 3) with my sister, and jumped in a black cab. Best moment of the day (and, frankly, of the previous 3 months).

But you could get them to blow bubbles, or do some confetti, or sparklers is nice (but dangerous) or a mexican wave of party poppers, or the more traditional tying tin cans and shoes on the car you're leaving in, or just throw the bouquet and go.

At one of my rx's friends there's was a staircase at either end of the room leading to a mezzanine. As the couple went up a staircase each tommeet at the top the theme to 'match of the day' was played.

The "traditional" thing at most of the weddings I've been to is for the guests to line up and make an arch with their hands for the bride and groom to go under. I think it's so that technically everyone gets to see them leave (sort of a rushed reverse receiving line)
