My mum got her dress from there, (but a different branch) they have loads of styles in different sizes, and if you find one you like you pay and take it away the same day. You need to make other arrangements for any alterations though.

Meridith bought hers from them. It was beautiful and looked amazing.

It's just a bridal shop, except you take the dress away that day and make arrangements for your own alterations, but they can usually recommended someone. You should call and double check they have your dress and size in stock though, and be careful as even though it looks cheap it adds up VERY quickly when you buy the underskirt/veil etc

I got mine at the Exeter one. They had an enormous selection, but do check on your size availability. I'm a fat knacker so there were fewer in my size than, say, an 8.

Well worth a look. Walked out with my dress with no stress. I had been really upset after my formal bridal shop experience.

What are you looking for? A special designer or specific style?

It has a small train of about 1m at the back.

And yes to the extras - I bought the hoop skirt, but declined the £75 belt and bought that one for £4 from China. And its £10 for the dress bag....!

Still, worth it as its a lot cheaper than a boutique where they claim they have dresses in your size, force you into things 3 sizes too small and tell you to envision how you will look when your £1500 dress turns up in 6 months. I have never felt so unattractive or fat in my life.

Oh, and the wedding is in August, so I'm hoping I don't faint in the heat and the corset.

Lovely Vivienne !!

I won't be wearing a veil and sorry if silly question but on a fitted dress it wouldn't need a skirt would it?

Yes I want to try the 'grace' one so. Iwill call them can you book appointments or do you just turn up?

The mermaid tail one? Beautiful!! No, no need for hoops for that style, I'm in a poofy princess gown and stiff hoops massively change the shape, so I've gone for it.

Wait and see what you try on though - I didn't think I'd pick a meringue, but I loved it! Mermaid didn't work for me at all (size 22), and I knew I didn't want strapless. That was the only thing I was adamant about. 40G boobs shouldn't be worn in strapless gowns IMO!

Just rock up, no need to book. They may not have the dress you want in, and they can't order in but can ring other branches for you. You'd have to go there to try it on though. They are cheap because they only work on what they have in stock on the racks.
