White or Nude underwear?

This is such a stupid question, but I really have no idea!

My dress is very thing & floaty - it's from Katya Katya Shehurina, with a thin silk slip and thin white lace overdress.

I really don't know what colour underwear would work best - would nude be too dark and show through? Would white be too white?

Dress is the "Serena" dress featured in this blog: thetraveljourno.com/2015/09/dresses-at-katya-katya-shehurina/

Does anyone have any advice?

And while we're on it, does anyone have good recommendations for wedding websites with cash gift options?

Buy both and try on. On the whole, nude is less visible.

I second what Crumbs said. I went for nude in case of UV lights from the disco

And that's a beautiful dress

Nude - you can always change later if you want something prettier for later as nude isn't always the sexiest ... although Heidi Klum and Calvin Klein do nice nude ranges - congrats x x

Thanks guys! Hadn't even thought about the UV light aspect.

Melly - thank you! I am very smug as I got it for 70% off in a sample sale...

36 - yes I was thinking that, it's not very "wedding night glamour" is it?

I will buy both and try on with the dress.

Nude under white. White under white always shows through. Go for the seamless ugly pants, you can always change them later

I bought some lovely lingerie before I got married, only to find it didn't sit quite right under my dress, so I had to then buy a really good strapless bra (my dress had straps but they were lace encrusted with pearls etc so I needed a strapless bra)
My plan was to change into my lovely cream silk lingerie when we went to our room, this didn't happen, I was just so tired, it had been a very long and emotional day.
What I'm trying to say is, you need to try your chosen underwear on with your dress.

If you are changing into a "going away " outfit you could change into more exciting undies then. Otherwise, you almost certainly won't be bothered to take your dress off, change and put it all back on again

Try cream as well - less stark than white (unless your dress is a pure white)
