Groupon weddings?

So me and DP have managed to sort out differences and would really like to get married in either 2017 or 2018.

We aren't really fussed on a big wedding and don't want to spend a lot!

Has anyone ever bought a wedding voucher from groupon or somewhere similar?

How did it pan out?

I looked at groupon wedding deals, but actually found local venues were a lot better value (and I could get married on a Saturday rather than mid-week, which a lot of groupon weddings seem to be.)
