Guests - who do I invite?

I am getting married in 5 weeks. We currently have 59 guests confirmed from family and old family friends. We obviously can't therefore have many more people. Quite alot of these people won't be staying for the evening. Would I be rude to only invite my friends to the evening do rather than having only a few in the day who don't know any of my family or some each other?
