how does this sound as a wedding

right plan is as follows so read pull apart tell me what I have missed.

weekend long
all arrive at campsite fri night for group meal
sat wedding day, ceremony 3.30 at local town hall
back to campsite, arrival drinks pimms, bucks fizz, fruit punch for kids.
on site will be large marquee with seating dance floor etc, free bar with alchol provided, a couple of peopke to serve it, kids tent/ gazebo with little tables chairs toys for when they are bored, again someone to supervise? kids activity bag at their places in marquee.
5 pm hog roast
no speeches but some sort of entertainment, not decided yet
7-8 band
8-9 disco
9 mini fish and chips for all
9.30-10.30 band
10.30 till late disco

next morning huge brealfast for all

so wjat have I forgotten?

Sounds brilliant! Does the campsite have toilets/shower block or will you hire in portaloos?

Only other thing I can possibly think of is decorations of some sort? Bunting looks nice with a marquee :)

the campsite has log cabins and mobile homes for anyone who doesn"t want to camp.

marquee will be decorated fri afternoon by me!

am considering sneaking off to reg office in morn and doing legal bit and having blessing on site instead? nut not sure about that!

also need entertainment ideas if you have any!

Sounds fab if all guests are between about 6 and 60, are there other options for those with babies/toddlers, older people or those who hate camping? Is there the option just to come for the day, or is it a weekend event because its somewhere inaccessible? I was at a wedding this year that had a similar set up, lovely for the majority of the guests who were in their 20s and not parents, but I had to spend the majority of the time chasing DS around making sure he didn't get burnt (fire pits and lit torches in the evening), garrotte himself on a tent rope, fall in the onsite stream, etc. Also napping was a nightmare, no chance in a tent! Ended up sat in the car for a significant part of the event so he could sleep in his carseat. I appreciate that this is the deal with young children, but worth considering if you're of an age where friends/ family have babies/pre-schoolers!

my mother, good points. alot of out mates have camper vans so all camp anyway.

My BIL and SIL had a similar wedding to this they had a treasure hunt for the children with small toys sweets hidden around the field.

They had giant games connect 4, chess etc

They had a ceili at night which was great fun.

They got married the day before with 10 guests and then had the blessing and party the day after. We all stayed in a camping barn and apart from my own wedding it's the best I've ever attended!
