Why am I seeing incorrect Met Office updates [confused]

So when I go to the Met office website through my Ipad it gives me incorrect forecasts and warnings, but has the right dates on etc.

I'm so confused, I have consistently had incorrect forecasts from them for weeks now. I mentioned it on their Facebook page but they where as confused as me. Does anyone know of any reason that this might happen?

Also on the warnings I can see that are incorrect the forecasters assessments are strange, it just says for example "go sledging" or "test rain"

I'll attach an image

It's bizarre! I can't think of a single explanation. The forecast is correct if I go through my IPhone so it's not safari that's the problem I don't think.

I think you've managed to get the wrong url (web page address) for the met office in Safari. It looks like the one you have is for what I guess is the met office test system so it doesn't have proper data in. Take the 'pre' bit out of the address and try again...

I just tried it and your right! How the hell did I manage that and what exactly is it then where I have ended up. What is the test system?

I'm glad it's cleared up anyway Grin

I don't know specifically about the met office, but it's usual for websites to have a 'test' copy that gets used by their software development team to try out fixes for any faults they've found or any new features they want to add. They tend not to be publicly available though.
