Can I wait with you shelley? We are off to Chester next week and expecting to need an umbrella. Sad

of course! hope there will be someone along shortly with some good news! or failing that the winning lottery numbers so i can go somewhere hot and have a proper holiday not camping in a soggy tent with a grumpy husband and two squabbling children

Oh dear Shelley I think it is so bad nobody wants to say. Sad

BBc weather says it doesn't look good but they aren't very reliable IMO.

OYBBK's on holiday so will a not very good at forecasting Deputy Smud do?

It's not looking that great Sad and it looks like a case of 'sunshine and showers' for next week. From what I can tell, there's a low pressure system off the coast of Ireland that's going to push the showers in from the west.

Temperatures don't look that great ~ Sparkling, you might get a 20C Chester way, mid~end next week (that's as best it gets, the rest of the time the temp charts are saying 16-19C!) Shelley for Dorset, temp charts are saying 20-21 but the inland southern bits of the country are supposed to be warmer ~ temps in the low 20s. The nights are really beginning to get chilly, Chester's showing low teens overnight so if camping, I'd wrap up warm (I'm a bit Shock that in the mountains of Scotland one night next week, they are showing a 0 and -1 already!)

Not sure how the beginning of September/the week after's looking ~ might be a bit far ahead. I'll see if there are any websites out there that are willing to hazard a guess as to whether we'll get a heatwave!

Thanks Gloria. I thought as much, but we have got things to do whatever the weather. We have rented a house so we should be snug. Smile

As with most of the weather this summer, I guess it's a case of making the best of it, whatever the weather does. Have a nice time!

Thank you Gloria. We are camping so will take everything then. And if it gets too bad, come home Smile.
