June-July weather - any chance of SUMMER?

I went out this morning in a wool dress, cardigan, boots, thick socks and coat and wished I had put gloves and a scarf on. I now have the heating on full blast.

When is it going to get warm?

I turned off the heating a few days ago and DH (who doesn't normally feel the cold) was complaining! We went out today and with the temperatures hovering between 8-10C, came home and put the heating straight back on again. Having it on at all in May is unheard of!

However, I think I caught the weatherlady on East Midlands Today last night(who goes by the name of Sarah Blizzard - yes that is her real name!), saying that towards the end of next week/the weekend, it looks like it might be warming up at last. I hope so ~ I need some sun and have summer bedding plants that are taking up room in the greenhouse, that could do with going out.
