DD is 26 weeks and i have been offering her veg and fruit for last week or so in BLW fashion. She had some avocado on weds pm and ever since has been producing dirty nappies constantly! She also has been waking up in the night crying every few hours although not sure if this is teeth or tum.. She sounds like she is pushing all the time, sorry if tmi but the results aren't v runny just look kind of like whats been going in! I have given her just carrot / squash /bannana/ simple things since. She has also started on some baby porridge which I make with cows milk / water mix. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone had anything similar?

am v worried i am doing something wrong...

You arn't doing anything wrong, this is just her bodies way of reacting to completely new food.

You may want to take it a little more slowly if you are worried ie offer the same fruit of vegetable for a few days to check it well tolerated and then move on to the next, that way if anything is truly disagreeing with her you will know what it is rather than having to guess when you have introduced a lot of things all at the same time.

Either way though I am sure it will settle down eventually.

thanks wild things.. i am in the process of moving from bf to ff too although this has been going on for a few weeks now so feel like there is loads of change at the moment . Its just horrid seeing her constantly pooing although it doesn't seem to bother her much!

I don't think they mind at all, my GP told me once that anything between 8 poo's a day and 1 every 3 days is perfectly normal in a child under 1 year.

I thought you meant pooh bear! You know, pooh bear cutlery, plates, cups...

I'll just leave quietly!!

Two.. it was kind of linked in the title but truly wish it was pooh cutlery not pooh bum!

thanks all for loads of support, am starting to feel like a slightly stressed first timer! These blasted babies, get one thing cracked and a new problem comes along to make you feel clueless !
