What yoghurt should I give my six month old?

Little H has been eating solids for a while now, and I want to introduce him to yoghurt this week, but I'm unsure which one to go for. I know some have really high sugar contents, but I don't know which ones are the best. Any suggestions gratefully received!

Plain yoghurt with fruit mixed in. It's all I gave DS for ages and although he does have Little Stars or whatever now, he'll still happily eat a bowl of plain yoghurt, with or without fruit.

The Rachel's something baby yoghurts have no added sugar, nor do the Plum baby fromage frais but both are pricey. Sainsbury's used to do own brand fromage frais with no added sugar but my local Sainsbury's stopped stocking them. Not sure if you can still get them in bigger stores.

Rachel's organic my first yoghurts have no sugar and are really creamy and yum. Most others (including the other rachel's ones do).

I'd do as BornToFolk says - just buy a big tub of plain yoghurt. If you're doing purees, then on its own or with a cube of puree or mashed-up banana etc. is ideal. If you are doing baby-led weaning or lots of finger foods then chunks of fruit with plain yoghurt as a dip works well. My DS got the hang of dips very young and still loves to dip his pear/banana/plum whatever in yoghurt.

plain full-fat greek, with or without fruit

v good for them to practise spooning as it is so thick

also cheap - the Rachel's and Yeo ones cost a fortune and I always ended up finishing off dd's pots

DS loves the Yeo Valley Organics plain natural yoghurt. It's the cheapest full-fat one I could find, and bizarrely it's cheaper to buy the small cartons than a big tub.

I used to mix stuff in for flavour, but DS isn't fussed so I don't bother any more.

I also just gave (and still give) supermarket's own brand plain full fat greek.
