DS2 is 6 months so we have just introduced breakfast. I know I did all this with ds1 but I honestly can't remember how long i did breakfast before I introduced lunch and then dinner!

Help, remind me please!!

my lo was on 3 tiny meals within a few weeks just so the meal times were slotted in when we ate. We then gradually built up the quantities he took. I did lunch, then dinner and breakfast last.

I think it depends on what type of weaning you're doing. I'm doing baby-led weaning so I pretty much went to offering food three times a day from the outset, because DS would just have as much or as little as he wants. I think if you're spoon-feeding you might need to go slower as they'd get more quantity? Not sure though as I just did BLW.

Thanks for the replies. I did purees witrh ds1 and must admot I hated evry step of it so I may have a look at baby led weaning as an alternative

I gree, I have totally forgotten all weaning techniques from DS1 !!!

My DS2 is 24 weeks and has started weaning five weeks ago and were are on 3 meals a day with all usual milk feeds. A meal for him is an average stage one jar. Not sure however when to intorduce a pudding with meals and ( if at all) when to drop the amount of milk at a feed or whether to drop a whole milk feed feed or number of milk
