Lunch ideas when out and about

My LO is coming up 11 months. He’s a good eater, very happy which chopped/whole foods and having 3 meals and 1/2 snacks a day. I’m getting a bit stuck for lunch ideas though, especially when we’re out. He’s quite good at eating in restaurants so we’re trying to make the most of it whilst we can 😂 When he was younger we’d just take a pouch but the stage 3 ones aren’t so good for this, I find they need to be microwaved. He’s got cows milk allergy so giving him some of our food can be a bit tricky. What do other people take that’s portable, can be eaten cold and not horrendously messy?!

Give him food from your plate - we took our 12 month old to KFC earlier in the week (we also have a much older sibling who wanted to go as a birthday treat, it's not somewhere we usually eat with the baby). She had mash, beans and corn on the cob and loved it. She also loves cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes chopped up, maybe cheese spread sandwiches cut into fingers.

Mini egg muffin things- use a silicon muffin tray and fill half way up with veggies e.g frozen peas, then the rest with egg (can add some oat milk if it needs to be a bit softer).

Oat cakes/bread and humous, veggie sticks, you could make a humous or nut butter sandwich to help keep the bread together.

Chopped up fruit too.

Falafals (check no dairy, or make yourself) but they can be a but crumbly.

Cooked pasta pieces (with any if the above- almost like a Bento box of finger foods).

I'll come back if I think of any more!

Sandwich thins spread with nut butters or humous tend to be our go to lunch out food (or cream cheese but not great for you) Less messy than sandwiches, find about half a one is right for my DD but she is quite diddy

Keep it simple, sandwich, wrap, cucumber, tomatoes...
