Yes as long as there is not any salt. Rigatoni pasta might be easier for him to hold.

It's a very long time since I weaned mine but I might be tempted to serve his with fusilli rather than spaghetti!

Oh yeah good idea. But the bolenaise bit is ok even though lumpy? Any other good things to start with?

If you're doing BLW, he can just have whatever you have in the form you would eat it (just with an eye on sale intake) and let him feed himself. We like fusilli or penne as it's easy to hold in a tiny hand.

I used to adjust cooking methods so that things like soy sauce, Thai fish sauce, stock cubes, anchovies and absolutely anything else salty was added right at the end rather than at the beginning, and I would remove the baby's portion before adding these things.

Babies should not have more than tiny amounts of salt, but I do NOT want to eat salt-free food, sorry!

Actually I found spaghetti was easier for him to hold at the beginning because he could grab a whole lot and suck the sauce off. Now that his pincer grip is developed he is better with penne and fusilli

They can have everything except honey (fine after 12 months) and avoid obvious choking hazard sized things like whole nuts
