Is it REALLY neccesary to renew Milton solution every day?

I only use DD2s bottles for water anyway...
How often do you change the solution?

I only ever did it every 3 days, which is probably wrong.

I can't see how its ok after 23hours but useless after 24! I think after 24hours its not as effective. Once DS hit 6months I packed away the milton and rejoiced!!

I still do it every day actually because it always smells a bit strong after a while which puts me off. I can't wait until I can ditch it which I will do when DS is finally off bottles altogether (still sterilising here at 10 1/2 months).

throw away the milton, put away the steriliser - you do not need to sterilise. i never have with ds and i mean from newborn. he was 3 weeks early and in the hospital i was told to just wash everything in hot, soapy water and air dry.
