iv been weaning my six month old for 4 weeks now and he loves it he hovers up everything i give him and wants more,
he has started to mouth at me when hes hungry and has 3 meals a day. the 1st @ 7.30am then a nap an hour later, last meals 6pm bed @ 7.30.
but im having trouble with the middle meal, i b feed him to sleep, he sleeps aprox 11.30am-1.30 but im wavering between feeding his solids befor or after this nap.
yesterday his nap time ran over and he was so hungery his tum was rumbling so i fed his solids but then he wouldnt b feed to sleep.
i know this isnt the best way for him to get to sleep but im not letting him cry it out.
so generaly do i feed before the nap or after?

Why don't you try feeding him before his nap, so he sleeps well, and then give him a BF mid afternoon to see him through till tea time.

It seems quite short now, but as he gets older his lunchtime nap will push back later on, so it will be more like a proper lunch. If you leave it till after his nap, 7.30 till 1.30 is too long for 6 mths, IMHO. It's either that or you will ahve to change his sleep around to try and fit everything in, but that might be more hassle than it's worth!!!!!

Maybe it's time to tackle the BF to sleep....... i know it's hard but letting them cry isn't the only option.

My LO used to either feed or cuddle/rock to sleep until I gave him a dummy - I know they are contraversial, but if he likes something to suckle on as he dozes off, it might help, without messing up your feeds, not to mention freeing you up!!! Just a thought.......
