DS watches me eat

Hi

My DS is 4 months old and for the past couple of weeks he watches me eat. He watches every move of it and shows interest. Does this mean something? I'm not sure when we can introduce solids to him. Any advise would be helpful.

Thanks

They just watch because they love you Grin

Best advice is to wait til six months, however I think the absoloute.minimum age is 17 weeks.

Watching you eat, alone, is not a sign of readiness of weaning.

It doesn't mean he is ready for solids. It means he is fascinated by you. Does he watch you drive? - round you give him the car keys?

'Would' not 'round'

He most likely watches everything you do, it's interesting and new and strange. It's not reccommended to introduce solids until nearer 6 months because the gut needs this time to mature enough to process foods, so at this stage I would wait.

Obviously i wasn't going to give car keys, very silly. Its my first baby and was seeking advise. That was my other thought as well, that he's interested in the things i do.

Thanks to the rest who confirmed it cos i know parents who started their baby on puree at month 4 (obviously wasn't going to do it just because someone else does it)

Thanks
