I started off with the idea that we would do blw, all home-made, lovingly hand-prepared etc. Well, four months down the line and he has a pouch of ready-made stuff most days, as he quite often turns his nose up at the lovingly hand-prepared from scratch meals I offer him. I'm running out of ideas!
He is an enthusiastic eater in general, and will happily try most things, and can put it away in quantity when he likes something - it's just that I would really like us all to be eating more or less the same meals now, as usually we end up eating something separately.
What he will happily eat (aside from pouches)
broccoli, asparagus, sprouts, butternut squash, carrots, sweet potato
melon, apples, pears, won't usually eat bananas, hates citrus, kiwi gave him a reaction. Liked tinned peaches to begin with, now not interested. Doesn't like grapes. (However, will eat any flavour of pouch, so must be the texture rather than the flavour)
toast, rice cakes with almond butter, breadsticks
yoghurt
hummus
risotto
mashed potatoes
I just feel like I can think of very few meals that we can all share, that are healthy for him - eg, I think he would be quite happy with pizza, but that's not too healthy is it? And I'd prefer to eat salads half the time, but he doesn't seem to get on with leaves at the moment, they sort of get stuck in his mouth and I have to fish them out for him to furious protest. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
