How much does your 8mo eat?

DS is almost 8mo and his food intake consists of the following:

8.30am breakfast - marmite on toast fingers plus 1/2 pouch fruit purée (Ella's kitchen or Plum)
10.00am BF before nap
12.30pm lunch - cheese/whatever sandwich pieces or soft veg sticks, or savoury purée (jar or pouch, or mashed avocado, etc). He'll then have a babybel and a couple of Organix rice cakes
1.00pm BF
2-2.30pm BF before nap
5.30pm dinner - normally just a savoury purée either homemade or jar/pouch (he doesn't like mush with lumps in hence all the ready-made stuff as it's hard to make homemade purées lump-free, the only lumps he tolerated are the ones he bites off from his finger foods) and maybe a sweet fruit purée or yogurt if he's still focused on eating
6-7pm BF
8.00pm BF before sleep

He still wakes 2-4 times a night for BF and won't take a bottle. I can't express but give him formula in a sippy cup to mess about with/drink throughout the day.

Does this sound ok? He doesn't actually eat much of the finger foods, they are played with and sucked/dribbled. The amount of purée he takes depends on his mood. Sometimes he'll eat a whole pouch, sometimes just a couple of spoonfuls.

I'm a bit worried that he doesn't chew food - rather sucks it. Also a bit concerned that he won't eat lumpy mush. Will this change?

My 8mo DDs food intake is something like this:
7am bottle
8am porridge or weetabix with fruit mixed in or toast fingers/mango/melon/prunes/banana etc
11am bottle
12pm veg with rice/pasta/potato/chicken/fish or a jar of food with fruit finger food for dessert
3pm bottle
4.30 same as lunch
6.30pm bottle

My DD used to gag on lumps but I just persevered and she is fine with them now. I think they can take a bit of getting used to but I find the ellas and plum pouches far too smooth so she now on stage 3 with those.
I would keep offering little bits of mashed up veg/fruit and the finger foods he will eventually get it.
Remember food is fun til you're 1!

Thanks for this. Concerned that he just won't eat the lumps - he really doesn't like anything lumpy but I'm hoping his love of rice cakes etc will get him used to it a bit - those pouches are pricy! I am worried he's not actually consuming enough but he is still obsessed with BF so I guess it's ok as long as he's getting enough milk.

Milks more important than anything at this age. He will get it at some point if you keep trying him :)
