Weaning

weaning and wind

Started weaning my 6 month a month ago. All was going well on baby rice but since introducing veg and fruit, she is suffering from really bad wind. This is causing her to scream in agony like she did as a newborn with reflux. Is there certain foods I should avoid? So far she's been getting a little bit of the following..

-pear
-apple
-banana
-butternut squash
-carrot
-suede

I will start to keep a note of the foods that seem to trigger it but would be helpful if anyone has advice on the worst culprits to cause wind.

Have the same issue and I can't find a link a particular food...it does seem to be getting a bit better 6 weeks in and the doctor told me it is just their systems adjusting...hope it improves for you soon.

We are having a similar issue here. Think it is part and parcel with it. She is slightly constipated so going to get some prunes tomorrow Smile

Maybe give her one food on it's own 3 nights ina row to rule things out?

Spoke to my hv today who thinks carrot and potato safest options for time being. Think it could have been either banana or suede that caused the worst reaction.
