My 6mo loves bread - can't get enough of it. Is that ok?

we do a mix of purée and blw and at blw tomes she can't get enough bread. She loves it. I spread it with avocado or put some cheese on it and she'll eat that, but mostly she lies bread. How much is too much given it has salt in it?

They are allowed 1gram per day. I get the smaller sliced loafs from M+S, they are 0.3 g so 3 slices would take you up to that and the cheese would be on top of that. My DD loves toast too, but if she is having another meal containing salt that day, I try to limit it to one slice.

Reading that back it doesn't sound very clear - I mean 1gram of salt not bread!

you could make your own and leave the salt out?

I believe an average slice of white bread is about 0.5g - at 6 months I limited ds to half a slice a day, especially if he had anything else that was salty like cheese, weetabix, baked beans etc. He's 10 months now and has up to a slice a day.

I make it in the breadmaker for dc3 and put in less salt. Bread needs a little salt for a good texture. Own brand bread often has less salt than branded by the way and crumpets and wraps can be really salty.

My DS does love his carbs, could be growth spurt? you could try rice, potatoes or pasta for a change. I understand though bread is an easy one. I pre roast little jersey potatoes and use them as little snacks.
