I'm sure this has been discussed previously but has anyone managed to find a way to let their kids play roblox without inappropriate stuff popping up?

My DS age9 is currently trying to persuade me to let him play it. He previously accepted my point that there's dodgy stuff on there but now his friend has told him you can switch the chat off. And he is getting very peeved with my insistence that it's not ok...

Is it possible to make it safe? Is it just the chat that's problematic?

I HATE having to navigate bloody computer games. Please someone help me out here?

You don't have to buy Roblox, it's free-to-play, however, there are in-app purchases to get items and Robux (in game currency). You gotta have a good PC to play it though.

I let my 5yo and 8yo's play it on their ipads with the chat mode switched off.

The only issue I've had once is that someone had a very Sweary (f word) username that popped up and my son read...
