Xbox 360 with downloaded games! Please help!

Have looked this up online but don't seem to be able to find a definitive answer! I am technically inept too so please speak slowly . . .

My son is selling his Xbox 360 in order to put funds towards an Xbox 1 for Christmas. He has got some games downloaded. I have sold console on Ebay with the downloaded games. Have not sent yet. He is happy to part with them and does not want to play them again so does't care about keeping scores, etc. Is this possible?

What do I need to do to enable new player to play games, but so my son can still set up a new account when he gets his Xbox 1?

I also am thinking of security and need to make sure none of our personal details are still on there. Can I do this, whilst still giving new owner access to games??

Thank you so much for any help!

I think your son would be able to keep the same Xbox Live account, but he might want to format the 360 hard drive before selling it on.

Some information on switching from 360 to Xbox One here

Regarding security and your personal details, if you format the Xbox 360 then it should wipe everything clean; then the new owner will have a fresh 360 to set themselves up with an account.

On the main Xbox 360 dashboard screen move along to the right on the top menu bar to: Settings, then select System, then move down and select Storage, then press yellow Y on controller for the Hard Drive device options and then select Format.
