Any good tips for interesting food shops in West of Scotland?

We're off on a trip soon in a camper van and would love to visit farm shops, local bakeries, fish shops, delis etc. I've struggled to find much more than little Co-ops or Spars on the West Coast of Scotland. We can't afford to eat out much but would love to support local producers if we could find them. We're travelling between Ullapool and Arran roughly.

If you're near Loch Fyne, there's the oyster farm shop which sells more than oysters, see Oban probably has various delis, and they will often sell Scottish products. The Isle of Arran itself has very good cheese, lots of shops/delis stock it in Glasgow so probably same elsewhere. There's also this shop near Fort William:

Check out the Taste of Scotland website, it has food producers too:
and the Scottish Tourist board have a website for foodies that you can search for food attractions/tourist attractions

Mmm. Feeling hungry now. Off to eat another Tunnocks caramel wafer.

Lots of places in Arran too. The cheese shop just out of Broddick has a great Deli. Try googling to find local farmers markets. Most places have one at least once a month so you may be lucky.
