went a couple of years ago, loved it, loads for the kids to do if you are prepared to sacrifice your time to teke them.

We went last summer and are going again this summer.

Pluse:

Cheap if you choose your dates carefully.
Swimming pool good (not on a par with eg Center Parcs but slides and flume - quite small and dd1 aged 7 loved it).
Play area - more suitable for older children - park and football pitch.
Shop for basic groceries.
Lots to do for children nearby.

Minuses:

Caravans all different and varying qualities etc.
Building work going on nearby (maybe finished by now).
Entertainment not very good but this didn't bother us as we didn't use it (just had a look in the first night).

I might think of some more later. It depends what you want really but I think it's fine for a cheap bucket and spade holiday. Put it this way I happily pay £180 for a midweek break at the end of August but I would never pay the high season prices.

thanks for replies!; are looking into a privatly owned caravan, but was a bit concerned about some reviews saying site is now quite run down and can be a bit"rough" iyswim?!! Seems a shame as its location is ideal...

Not been but know the area and you might also want to look at Flower of May site which is just down the road. I have not been there but a friend has and she said it was lovely
