It is a brilliant place to go with dcs that age. We went a few years ago and stayed in a Travelodge/Premier Inn type place and went there for two days. Lots to interest you and very very 'castle-ey'

It's good and crops up on lots of 2 for 1 vouchers in the summer - Sainsbury's and others did them for the last couple of years.

PS look out for the hunky knights. They had a whole thread on MN dedicated to them last year!

Yes they would all probably love it. It's best on a sunny day when you can stay all day and have a picnic etc. It's hideously expensive though, so well worth trying to get some money-off vouchers.

Yes, definitely suitable for your dcs but IMO it is only worth going during the high season when they have the displays on and as cat says it is very expensive. As a castle it is not very interesting, but the displays are fab and really bring the whole thing to life. They are extremely professional.

You might want to look at season ticket prices because it is hard to see all the displays in 1 day. We got passes to Warwick Castle only, but you can also use a Merlin Pass to get in.

Warwick is great, and you're only 20 minutes from Stratford Upon Avon if you want to go somewhere else that's lovely too.

BTW the pass entitles you to 10% off in the shops, cafes and kiosks IIRC, and the cafes are quite good although there is plenty of space to picnic if you prefer.
