And wanted to visit a pretty quaint place where you have a lovely cream tea, where would you go?

Cornwall is a very big place - why don't you tell us first where you will be staying so we can recommend somewhere close by?

Clovelly and Boscastle too far north really if you are in Perranporth.

Anywhere in Padstow would be lovely.

Looks fantastic ilove, very dramatic - if we get a chance we'll definatly visit. We are taking our dog so it would a good place to give her a good run.

Padstow looks like the sort of village type place I was after BALD. Looking at them pictures of the sea made me all exicited.

I just hope we have good weather - fingers crossed

If we are visiting the lizard, how do we find the famous pasty shop and ice cream shop that I've heard so much about?

off to cornwall on saturday.. like a second home... hope the weather is nice. went last r with 4 week old DD, in a caravan.. nearly got divorced on the strength of it.

North coast nice cliffs and spectacualr views, good waves. south coast, lots of lovely harbours. mevagissey great out of season.. horrid in season.

padstow same.... actually.... everything!

as for cream tea.... not sure really, not our thing... can recommend a nice restaurant in mevagissey tho!

The pasty shop is in Lizard village.
Ice cream at a farm called Roskillys not far from Lizard I think.

Be warned though Padstow is ALWAYS busy - it looks like a village BUT has hoards of people wandering the streets

Thanks MAS will go and take a look at your suggestions.

Because of the recommandations for Kynance cove I was thinking that as we are going to visit the seal sanctuary (dogs allowed) we could then drive down to Kynance Cove and visit the pasty shop and give the dog a really good run.

Does this sound doable?

Anyone???

Rock looks Fab - all that sand!

Would Padstow be busy even though the children are back at school?

I wouldnt go anywhere near Bedruthan if I was you, just recently a lot of the locals have been suffering from the Norwalk virus its been all over the press down here still over 150 people suffering at the moment. Padstow is always busy, even more so after the schools go back as then you get the older visitor and those with younger kids who come when it is cheaper, but it is still worth a visit and you could always start in Wadebridge and use the Camel trail if you hire bikes thats always nice. If you go to Padstow try the Roskillys ice cream its one of the best I think esp Orange and Mascapone!! oh yes and a Chough bakery Pasty (not the rubbish from Pasty Presto! ugh)oh just thinking of it makes me hungry. Have a great holiday though wherever you end up.
