BUTLINS MINEHEAD

Does anybody have any good/bad/indifferent experiences about taking a holiday at butlins in Minehead?
My exp left me about 5 months ago but I make sure I see my son every weekend. I now would like to take him on holiday, hes just passed 2 years old and it would be just us two going. Or can anyone suggest other suitable entertainment resorts? I live in Bristol so no more than a 3 hour drive away would be good.

Cheers

Never been to butlins at minehead but been to Skegness. I think it's great for 2 year olds. There is plenty going on and lot's of people so you wouldn't need to be on your own.

Yes, it's great! We went in May and it rained whilst we were there and we still had a great time.
Lots to do,we went swimming every day and there is a fair with carousel horses which my DD loved. ds is 11 and dd3 by the way.

It sure helps. This is my first time on this site so wasn't sure what to expect. My son loves anything to do with trains esp Thomas, loves the beach and basically anything I introduce him to. Hes such an easy going, happy lil chappy and I love him very much so I just wanna show him a good time.
