Getting to Harrogate on the cheap

I want to go from Colchester to Harrogate for a weekend but having looked at national express and national rail it will cost between £60 and £90 return - anyone know of any cheaper alternatives? Am sure I read about a coach company that cost a £1 am I dreaming?
