self-catering in Wiltshire?

Hi there - I am planning a week away in Wiltshire with my mum and my LO age 2 months. I am thinking that self-catering would be best in terms of price and also so I am not self-conscious about baby screaming noises pissing off other guests - does anyone have any recommendations of somewhere nice that's well-located for sightseeing?
