North York's stay with mil and sil!

So me and my sil want to take our mil away next year and want somewhere probably near York.

I'm probably looking for the impossible but we'd ideally like catered accommodation for the 3 of us or failing that maybe a pub with rooms?

My mil isn't the most confident person so doesn't like large places. However me and my sil would like a bit of comfort and good food.

Hit me with your recommendations!

Not particularly near York, but I thought it might be worth recommending as it fits your other requirements - my parents love going to the Ellerby Hotel, which is just north of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. It's a small scale hotel, very comfy rooms, great restaurant and bar and friendly staff.

North Yorkshire is a big place!

If you want to be in York - this place is small and the owners are lovely, but you'd have to go out for meals - www.23stmarys.co.uk

Somewhere lovely further out of York - thedurhamox.com

Between York and the coast - lovely small hotel with excellent food - www.talbotmalton.co.uk Malton is a lovely small town to explore.

This was one of my grandad's favourites and he had high standards! www.inncollectiongroup.com/the-black-swan/

Been to some lovely weddings here. Think it meets your needs, but it is mainly seafood on the menu, which might rule it out.
