We are off to Snowdonia for a week at Easter and looking for recommendation for things to do. have some walks planned. Are the zip world places good and worth the money ?

I hope the weather stays fine for you. It was absolutely vile when we were there last summer (which was annoying as it had been gorgeous for weeks before). I therefore have some wet weather suggestions/observations! [Thankfully, the weather was too bad for zipwiring - some of my friends had done it earlier in the year and LOVED it]

As well as the zipwire, the one at Blaenau has underground trampolines (fun) and Caverns (a bit like Go Ape, but in a slate mine). There is a little pub in a cottage above ground (or a trip down another part of the mine) if you aren't feeling adventurous.

Blaenau itself has a really cute little cinema tucked behind the main street at CellB (a converted court building). There is a bar/bistro upstairs in what would have been the court room.

DD really wanted to go surfing at Surf Snowdonia (sadly the previous heatwave had contaminated the water, so that was cancelled). We drove past anyway - it looked like a good set up.

We did plan to go up Snowdon on the train and walk down. Luckily we didn't book as the rain was at 45 degrees the day we would have walked.

Hope you get some decent weather - we will definitely go back in a year or 2's time.

Oh Wow where to start!
Snowdonia is heaven for teenagers and older kids.
Learn to sail with plas menai.
Go power boating from Menai Bridge.
Go and see the nesting Ospreys at Glaslyn.
Jump off the bridge into the river at Beddgellert and see Gelert's grave.
Wander around Baeumaris with its galleries and castle and beach.walk up Snowdon
Go to Pete's ears at Llanberis.

Bowling and go karting at Glasfryn by Pwllheli.

Llanberis for the day. Walks, not just Snowdon. You have Parc Padarn, Vivian quarry, relics if the by gone days where the quarry men lived on the mountain called Anglesey Barracks. Walk over the top of the quarry to NantPeris, less tourists but mire walkers. Bwlch Maesgwyn , again less tourists.

Rope works in Llanberis is also great and there's a zip line near Bethesda at Penrhyn Quarry...definitely go to Pete's Eats in Llanberis for a mega breakfast
Orienteering and Mountain biking at Coed y Brenin forest
Rib ride on the Menai straits or to South Stack and then have lunch in Dylan's
National trust properties at Penryhn Castle or Plas Newydd are worth a look
Newborough forest and beach on Anglesey also has orienteering paths and has one of the best views across to the mountains of Snowdonia from Llandwyn Island...fab walk along the beach
I live here and love it!
