Ideas for cheap UK family holiday May 2019

We've recently come back from a lovely week in a Yorkshire Haven holiday park where we stayed in a standard caravan.

The accomodation cost £350 for the week. Our half term was slightly out of synch with the rest of the UK.

Looking for something similar next year and are having no luck with price. The Haven hols that we've been looking at have been £750 - £1000! for a standard 2 bed caravan.

Cab anyone recommend any alternatives?

Looking for a week 25th May - 1st June 2019.

We're based in West Yorkshire and would prefer no more than 3 hours travel to get there if possible.

There needs to be plenty to do for the kids (ages 4 and 7).

Thank you.

sorry but I think that sounds a reasonable price for the main May half term week. the only cheaper alternative than that is going to be camping where you try and find a busy site with lots on. its the joys of kids and school hols. You might find that both Easter which is late this year or October half term are a lot cheaper. you wont necessarily have the weather but if there is lots to do it might not matter so much.

Gulliver's Kingdom/World whatever it's called in Matlock. It's perfect for kids of those ages and then you have the Heights of Abraham, Bakewell etc to explore as well. They do accomodation there now as well but no idea on prices for that.

Or the one in Warrington, we stayed in the hotel at that one and it was fab, we had a Nerf themed room but there are other themes or just normal rooms, also they had a Nerf Zone and Splash Park.

Scotland doesn’t have a May holiday week so you might find a good price for one of the Scottish Haven parks?

Try Hoseasons, they are often much cheaper.
