I have booked Crief Hydro for the weekend in September and looking for any tips or advice we are staying self catering with children aged 2-6 and a dog. Going to phone them tomorrow to book in the child care !

Travelling up from Glasgow, is there anywhere we could stop or visit that is kid & dog friendly on the way as check in is 4pm for self catering .

What kind of things do the kids activities do? and what times are they on?

We have no family support local so having some child free time together for my 30th birthday is going to be a real treat I would love to get a massage or do something as a couple while the kids are being looked after Grin

Do they have a website with activities listed?

Auchengarrich Wildlife Park near Comrie was always really popular with my lot when they were younger, I believe it is still good.

Do make sure you book all activities, meals, treatments etc in advance as it is always very busy and with time so precious you don't want to miss out on your plans.

2014 The website only lists " childcare" it doesnt explain it that I can see however I do find their site hard to navigate Confused

I have seen good reviews for Auchgarrich thanks wiggly I will double check it is dog friendly but I think it is.

Good tip to book everything in advance thanks 3nations

Each child gets up to six hours childcare daily, either morning afternoon or evening.
There's a cinema, they also usually have a science show or a magician although these may just be in the holidays.
There's craft activities, bouncy castle, crazy golf as well as all the paid for activities such as horse riding and Go Ape type stuff.

You could always stop at Blair Drummond Safari Park on the way up, love that place.😀

It used to be that you could use the facilities when you arrived. It's kids time in the pool around 3 pm . There's also huge grounds to explore.

Blair Drummond is a good shout though. Only five minutes off the road.
