Looking for some recommendations of places to eat with a toddler. We won't be able to travel out of town and one of our party doesn't eat anything spicy so Indian is a no go

Florio's is a cheap and cheerful family Italian (go in happy hour - before 6pm I think for best prices) and always packed to the rafters. It's always busy but food is quick and delicious and your toddler could have a full on screaming tantrum and I don't think anyone would notice. It's not the place for peace and quiet but very child friendly. Make sure you have the tomato garlic bread - it's a local legend!

Eat Me Cafe (behind the theatre, opposite the railway station) is great. Mixture of burgers, melts etc and asian flavours. Really nice and again toddler friendly. We've always been in the daytime but think they open Fri/Sat evenings for bookings.

Walking up the main street from the beach, Love Brew cafe is halfway up the hill. Another lunch stop. Really nice and friendly owner and a drawer full of toddler toys you can take to your table. Usually has some amazing cakes too.

We also like East Coast Kitchen (America diner type place) and Pomodoros (another Italian) which are both open during the day and early evening. Both are fairly toddler friendly and are on the main street further up towards the shops than Love Brew.

Brilliant thank you :) we'll definitely be trying Florios and I'm eyeing up cake in love brew cafe for my birthday. Think our older kids will love the American diner so we'll give that a go too

If you're coming quite soon just keep an eye on opening times - they can be a bit erratic out of season.

Have fun!
