have booked a weekend with family (grandparents + under 5s) and stAYing in arundel. looking for kid friendly activities on the weekend of 31st october (so halloween). Ive across littlehampton firework display for saturday evening and then thinking about amberley heritage and museum centre for saturday. Has anyone been - is it good for under 5s?
Any recommendations for things to do in the area that is kid friendly otherwise?

thanks

Arundel wildfowl trust is quite good. It's just ducks/geese on some lakes but quite fun to run round for kids and there are some rustic playground type things. They might think Arundel Castle is good- it's actually not very old- Victorian I think- but it looks very "fairytale" from a distance. Haven't been to Amberley heritage museum for 32 years Grin. I remember it being boring but I imagine it's lots better now.

We went to Amberley Heritage Museum last year with my (then) 5 year old DS. He wasn't very enthusiastic but if your DCs like old buses etc they may enjoy it more.

West Wittering beach isn't too far away from Arundel and is sandy which is a bonus in these parts!

Littlehampton beach is lovely and very close toto Arundel. You can walk along the river and seafront, there is a great play park at the far end. The Look and See tower in Littlehampton is also good for little ones.

The Flying Fortress at Ford (nr Arundel) is a soft play place. No idea what it's like but wet weather options are a bit limited in those parts.
