Worst Customer Service? Mothercare doesn't care

Can anyone beat this. I bought a faulty BT monitor in 2012. It stopped working. I spent three months (and endless trips to the shop/discussions with customer services) trying to get a replacement; finally got one. Then it failed again (in the same way) so I've now spent five months trying to get this one replaced. A replacement has been agreed but now Mothercare has stopped anwering my emails. I have no idea why; they're perfectly normal emails. Just wondered if others had found Mothercare difficult to deal with and/or if anyone had even worse customer service than this? If that's possible. In total 8 months dealing with one dodgy model of monitor. At this rate my daughter will be graduating before it's sorted out.

You are not surely trying to get a refund or replacement of a three year old monitor are you?

But yes Mothercare are generally overpriced and customer service isn't good, probably why lots of stores have closed down. Mine has, but the staff generally ignored customers anyway.

You do realise that the guarantee on products replaced within the original guarantee period only come with the guarantee remaining from the faulty one? Otherwise everyone would be taking a product back after 11 months claiming it's faulty then doing the same thing in another 11 months.

Having said that, you might be able to a claim under EU regs but would have to prove that the product in inherently faulty. Harder to do when you've had it for a while though.

Hello. Actualy we have had two monitors and both have been faulty. Mothercare agreed to replace them both times. It was after that point that the trouble started. They just didn't do what they said they would do: they procrastinated and fobbed us off and ignored messages and generally seemed to dodge doing what they said they would do. We made dozens of calls, and wrote lots of emails and even visited the store three times. We spoke to about twenty of their customer service personnel and had to go over the saga with each one. They never log the complaint or even the receipt on their system. They could not have been less helpful. We eventually received a replacement monitor from them, but not the one we wanted, so we have now given up and asked for a refund. Their attitude has just been terrible. They just do not care.

Yes Morhercare customer service is terrible. They sold me something that was faulty and very, very unsafe and customer services really couldn't give a crap about it. Angry
The only way to resolve anything is to post a complaint on their Twitter and Facebook page.
