Looking for Catholic easter hols so usually a bit cheaper.

Need a recommendation though as I have no idea which parks are good, clean, have things to do locally

Something within 3 hours of Cardiff would be good

Dcs are 10 and 5

Snowdonia is lovely. Greenacres is a nice Park with lots in the Porthmadog area. Fabulous beach also with direct access. Clean quietish park but with lots to do.

We went to ladram bay in devon this summer. No idea if its naice or not but the caravans were lovely and we enjoyed the park.

They don't finish school until good Friday, so are in school Holy Week
Which means when other children have gone back to school we still have another week off which is often much cheaper

I was going to recommend Greenacres too! My favourite place.

Does river dart have caravans, pool etc?

Ah, ok- thanks. In Scotland and for the past few years most councils have had 'spring break' at a set time regardless of when Holy Week is.

We loved ladram bay too. Caravans were nice and clean and we had one with a sea view and decking on the front.

We stayed in Doniford Bay in Somerset last year & it was lovely-we want to go back next Summer. Not sure if it's 3 hours away though.

Stowford Meadows just outside Ilfracombe is lovely.

Is there more than one Doniford Bay? Because we went to one a couple of years ago and it was vile. Filthy site, stinking caravans, facilities all run down/shut or broken and surly miserable staff. We stuck it out for as long as we could but only managed 2 nights. We went easter hols also. Never again

We went with Haven so had access to the entertainment. They've got a pool, Spar shop, restaurant & bar, amusement arcade, soft play etc. Our boys are 2 & 4 & there was plenty to entertain them. Lots of things to do in the area too. What else do you want to know? Am trying to think of what we did!

Have you checked that they are different? Ours are the same this year as the other state schools.

MozzchopsThirty · 31/12/2014 11:40

Ours finish good Friday in 2015
Although if all other schools are in Holy Week it would explain why everything is so expensive

Newlands in Charmouth, Dorset is independent, clean and set in beautiful rolling green hills. It's a short drive to Lyme Regis.

Nice clubhouse and caravans, friendly staff.

Haven Devon Cliffs. Best Haven park going and has its own beach too.

We have been going there every year for about 8 years now and love it.

We (in Sheffield) finish for the easter holidays on Friday 27th March. The Easter weekend falls in the middle of our two week break.

When you say break up on Good Friday, do you mean that they are at school on Good Friday?
