We are camping in Bigbury next week and I am looking for recommendations for restaurants, rainy day activities etc. Anywhere in the Bigbury/Kingsbridge/Salcombe area

The Winking Prawn at North Sands near Salcombe is a fab place to go for lunch. Overbecks is above South Sands and is a National Trust house and Garden. The Oyster Shack is a good place to eat. The Venus Cafe chain is good. Plymouth for the aquarium, city museum. Salcombe has an open air swimming pool at the school that is lovely and warm. There is a small lifeboat museum and a museum at the Tourist info shop in Salcombe. Art Deco cinema in kingsbridge.
Have a fabulous time.

We're just back from 2 wonderful weeks in a cottage in Bigbury. Plenty to do, lots of places to visit. Butterfly farm not too far away and Dartmoor ponies on the moors.

Lots of lovely buildings to visit and beaches to explore.

Big Aquarium in Plymouth if it rains (can remember queuing to get in a few years ago)

Oyster Shack on the tidal road. Fantastic seafood. The campsite at Bigbury is great, but very basic. That's what we like. Views are amazing.

Visit Dartmouth for a day. Walking, boat trips, steam railway, castle, nice shops and restaurants. We prefer it to Salcombe.
