We are spending a week here camping over half term . I don't know the area at all which is fine and an adventure but if you could give me some ideas then that would give us a head start .

The only idea we have for now is the zoo .

Thank you

The zoo is brilliant.
If your children are under ten Pennywell Farm is the best attraction in Devon. My kids (5 and 2.8) absolutely love it.
Salcombe beach is perfect for kids.
The Plymouth Aquarium is really good too.

Pennywell then. Unless they are seasoned thrill-seekers who go to theme parks- they may find it tame then!

Do the round robin. Steam train ride/ferry Paignton to Dartmouth followed by boat to Totnes, open topped bus back to Paignton.

Living Coasts in Torquay is ok, also Kents Cavern.

Paignton pier/beach is fab for kiddies find a poundshop and buy a kite/bucket and spade hours if fun for not much £££

there is a huge cinema right on seafront I believe its an odeon? could be a life saver if bad weather.

The steam railway is another great day out as is Babicome model village, woodlands leisure park and the Kent Cavern caves.

I have great memories of spending my 6 weeks holiday with the Grandparents who live in Torquay.

Have fun! Grin

Tones rare breed farm

Teain trip from Paignton to Dartmouth, if you haven't been on the steam train there before.

A day trip to Exeter to go round the shops / see the cathedral is also good.
