Bluestone, Wales

We've booked a midweek break at Bluestone next month and have a 4 year old and 7 month old. We need to pre-book activities, bikes (not even sure if this is an option with a baby.....suspect not) etc. If anyone has been and can make any recommendations on how best to fill our days I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi, we went last Feb. Didn't bother pre booking any activities. The pool is good and our 5yr old enjoyed the adventure center. When we arrived we booked a messy play which was only £5. Other than that we just did our own thing. In my opinion its much better than Center Parcs - cleaner and newer!! You can also escape and visit the area - Narbeth is a pretty little town and Saundersfoot is worth a visit too. Hope you have a lovely time.

Oh meant to say it's pretty hilly so if you're a keen cyclist like my husband you'll be fine - if like me you'll cry at the sight of the hills!!! Its easy enough to walk every where or hire a golf buggy which is expensive but looks like fun!

Very hilly. We had a buggy.
Do pre book.
Ours loved the pool, Lego room and soft play.
We will be back at Easter. (Must remember to book into spa again!)
My DD loved the free blue bus around the site!
We took chalk to draw on path outside property!
We went for a week and only had one day out.

Get a buggy.

And if you are going to need to wash any clothes then take an airer because there was nowhere to dry anything in our cottage, not even swimming things, and I was buggered if we were paying £10 for them to take 2 days to do a load of laundry.

The pool is good, the food is a bit lame and very overpriced so eat offsite if you can.

The local area is lovely.

I confess it was a vast disappointment for us, so many niggly things wrong that it really spoilt our week and we couldn't wait to leave.

We really enjoyed ourselves when dd was 3. We went to the pool every day and the Lego and soft play. Someone did a wee from the bridge above the ball pool, though and no one came to clear up so we avoided that for the rest of our stay, obviously.

It was a fair walk from the car park to our house thing which was right at the other end and we could not afford a buggy. It was ok with lots of pep talks.

Watch out for grown adults driving the buggies round like toys with no regard for other people's safety.

Tenby beach was delightful.
