The donkey sanctuary is great though you can't ride the donkeys. You can get close to them and have a good look round. They've also got some lovely walks.
When are you there? The folk festival is fun it starts 29th July for a week.

It is a lovely beach with nice ice cream shops and cafes. have a paddle, have a picnic, walk about the town and the cliffs. Lovely.

Walk around to Jacob's Ladder beach at the western end of the prom, have ice cream, up the steps to the clifftop gardens, walk back down to town have ice cream, then make sure you have a wander through The Byes, a lovely park at the eastern end of town. Finish with an ice cream. Lovely! Donkeys nice but won't fill a whole day, just an hour or two.
